Who We Are and What We Do

Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens, located in the village of Cedar, just south of Nanaimo, has been serving the central Vancouver Island region since its inception in 1957. Purchased by Arbor Memorial in 1982, the property has been engineered as a park like setting. With a total of 79 acres and only 30 acres developed, a professional and dedicated property staff maintain the grounds in exceptional condition. Cedar Valley Memorial now has the reputation as being one of the most beautiful cemetery properties in the country.

The professional cemetery and administrative staff here provide families with guidance to ensure your loved ones are commemorated in a dignified and respectful manner. Having some necessary conversations about end of life planning and completing your own pre-arrangements allows you to remove a great burden off your family while getting the type of services you want and saving money on the rising cost of those final arrangements. Many families are not aware of the benefits of completing arrangements well in advance.

Cedar Valley honours our families by holding several celebrations each year, including Mother's Day, Father's Day and Remembrance Day. Families are often seen on the grounds having picnics, walking their pets or just browsing through the different gardens, enjoying the flowers or visiting with the families of deer that frequent the property.

Never been here? Take the time to come out and visit. See for yourself what many other families have learned. Take advantage of the opportunity to speak to one of our dedicated staff and have all your questions answered.
